A Healthy View of Yourself
I love it when someone asks me, "What do you do?"
And I'll reply with, "About what?"
We're often identified in our society by what we do rather than who we are.
It's crucial to know God's perspective on your identity, purpose, and hope.
Do you frequently reflect on the fundamental issues of your life?
Such as, "Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going?"
God is the one who knocks on the door for a love relationship with us.
The Lord tells us in John 15:16,
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you
so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last"
And it's our calling and obligation to respond to His offer.
Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-39,
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."
The quality of your relationship with God has a direct impact on your relations with others.
As one who follows Jesus, you must...
Love God completely, love yourself correctly, and love others with compassion.
Loving yourself correctly is to...
Approach your life as God intends it and allow His word, not the world
to define who you are and what guides your life.
Your deepest needs are security, significance, and satisfaction.
And you’ll realize fulfillment with God and not in people, possessions, or positions.
He is more interested in your life than you are.
And the best is yet to come when you live in total trust with Him.
