I love it when someone asks me, "What do you do?"
My reply is, "About what?"
We live in a society where we're often identified by what we do...
Rather than who we are.
Many philosophers over the centuries have referenced the phrase "know thyself".
They implied it was the secret to happiness in life.
Each of us is born with a unique potential with distinct characteristics:
First is a superior ability that others notice and value.
We love to do it as much as possible.
It energizes us and the people we associate with.
And we get better at it with endless possibilities for improvement.
Imagine if you have clarity about this in your life.
Your focus would be on the consistent development of your abilities.
And you'd be very confident about how you could contribute to others.
Your reward would be perpetual resources and opportunities.
Imagine how this could have a significant impact on the world.
Creativity, innovation, and breakthroughs would emerge all around you.
Because you paused in the rat race to discover who you are.
I also enjoy that question about “what I do”! I like to focus on the being aspect rather than doing AND there is action component in creativity and living like I believe in possibility! So many possible transformations in one lifetime. Life is a gift! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on a topic most will overlook and choose the comfortable or familiar.
